Erica Crohn Minchella

Erica Crohn Minchella is a 1981 graduate of Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. Her field of expertise includes the spectrum of conventional and distressed real property issues for both residential and commercial properties, foreclosure defense, short sale transactions, sales out of decedent’s estates and personal and land trusts. She has been named a Leading Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers Network since 2013 and in 2019 was named one of the top ten residential real estate lawyers in Illinois. She has also been named a Super Lawyer for 2017 through 2022. She is AV rated by Martindale Hubble and an Avvo Rated Top Lawyer. Her involvement within her community and profession includes serving as president of the Association of Foreclosure Defense Attorneys (Founder), and ISBA Real Estate Section Council (past chair) and Assembly and co-Vice President of Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. She regularly speaks at continuing legal education programs on real estate issues. The North Suburban Bar Association sponsored her as one of seven attorneys on the drafting committee for revisions to the Multi-Board Contract. As a columnist for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, she writes about local and national Real Estate issues. Erica is a Commissioner on the Plan Commission for the Village of Skokie.

John A. Zrnich

John A. Zrnich is a 1995 graduate of the DePaul University College of Law.  He was first admitted to the California State Bar in 1997 and has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 2008.  His primary area of practice is consumer protection law with an emphasis on foreclosure defense.  He is a founding member and Vice President of the Association of Foreclosure and Consumer Protection Attorneys (formerly the Association of Foreclosure Defense Attorneys).  His other areas of practice include real estate law and estate planning.  He has been an active member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association for the last ten years and is a regular member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the North Suburban Bar Association. 

In his spare time, Mr. Zrnich enjoys the guitar, his pets, and visiting the Chicago Botanic Garden (where he is a member) and the Morton Arboretum.  He is also a member of the Northwest Suburban Astronomers Club.

Arthur C. Czaja

Arthur C. Czaja is a graduate of DePaul University and DePaul University College of Law and is an attorney at Law Offices of Arthur C. Czaja. Mr. Czaja concentrates his practice in areas of real estate law, mortgage foreclosure, consumer law and appeals. He also has extensive experience in matters involving the United States Bankruptcy Code, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and unfair acts and deceptive business practices. He has handled hundreds of cases alleging various violations of consumer protection laws and has successfully represented consumers in trial courts and in the Appellate Courts in Illinois, including in the Illinois Supreme Court. In 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, he was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers®, part of Thomson Reuters. In 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, he was selected as an Emerging Lawyer by Emerging LawyersTM, part of Leading LawyersTM. 

He earned his J.D. in 2006 from DePaul University College of Law, and his B.A. in 2002 from DePaul University. While in law school, he owned and operated a clerking service for practicing attorneys, learning the practical aspects of running a law practice and becoming familiar with the day-to-day operations of the court system in Illinois. Mr. Czaja is admitted to the Illinois Supreme Court, as well as the following federal courts: United States District Court for the Northern District and Central District of Illinois.
